Every Pocket Trades app is built the same way, so the first one shows the pattern. These are screenshots from the current Pocket Electrician build on Android. Swap the calculators for a plumber's or an HVAC tech's and the layout, the rules and the Pro model stay exactly as you see them here.

One home screen per trade, grouped the way the work is grouped

Each app opens on every calculator for its trade, in the groups that trade already thinks in. For the electrician that's cables and volt drop, protection and earthing, power and machines. For a plumber it will be pipe sizing, drainage falls and hot water. Same screen, same search box, same free-and-Pro split.

Presets for the common case, every figure still editable

A Pocket Trades calculator starts you with the typical values for the job and lets you change any of them. Here it's an electrician's max demand: tap lighting, GPOs, range, hot water, and each lands with a common diversity figure applied. A plumber's fixture-unit count or an HVAC heat load works the same way, presets first, your numbers second.

Presets are rules of thumb and every app says so on the screen. The figures are yours to set.

A free site reference in every app

Each app ships a reference section for its trade that is always free: the tables and lookups you'd otherwise photograph off a wall chart. For the electrician that's wiring colours across flex, fixed and older installs, IP ratings, breaker curves. For a plumber it will be pipe grades, fall tables and fitting sizes. All of it offline, none of it behind Pro.

It is not a copy of, or a substitute for, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008 or any other standard. Results are guidance. Verify against the current standard and your own judgement.
